This project involved the transformation of former Allied Health consult rooms and office space into a new staff dining facility within a live hospital environment.

Works commenced with the demolition of internal partitions and extensive concrete cutting and trenching to accommodate new in-ground services. Live service connections were carried out to hospital drainage, trade waste, chilled and hot water, with works carefully staged to avoid disruption to clinical areas and maintain infection control.

A new concrete slab was poured to re-level the area, followed by installation of food preparation and servery zones, two tea prep facilities, and open dining and lounge areas. Hospital-grade finishes were applied throughout, including robust vinyl flooring and hygienic wall cladding to meet clinical standards.

The project required close coordination with hospital operations to manage access, deliveries, and noisy works. All construction was carried out under strict safety protocols and infection control procedures, ensuring seamless integration into the functioning healthcare facility with minimal disruption to staff and patients.
