A three staged project, the second two of which were tendered we worked closely with CBH to deliver a new Accommodation Village in Moora.

In the first stage, we were engaged to complete the pre-purchase audit for CBH, reviewing the building structure and undertaking invasive surveys to ascertain its viability as an accommodation village. Half of the facility was already created out of transportable buildings. With the remainder being a former barracks, the building was old and in poor repair. We completed the design for the separation of services, demolition and creation of new Village.

Stage 2 was the demolition and ground levelling ready for the construction of the new build. Careful management was required due to the known asbestos removal and subsequently unknown that was found within the soil.

Stage 3 saw our award to complete the new Modular Unit builds as part of the 2024 accommodation builds that we had previously been awarded, transport and install on site including all associated civil works, new crossover and parking facility, new site main switch board, connections to sewers, hydraulics to support the village.

The new  Village had a different layout from other Villages that we had completed, with the Units facing each other around central courtyards to create a community feeling.
