Over the past three years, Trigon Projects has built a strong working relationship with CBH Group. During this time, CBH identified the need to procure smaller quantities of varying accommodation units, including single-person quarters, common rooms, and kitchen, dining, and laundry facilities, to meet the operational requirements of new, refurbished, or expanded accommodation villages on accelerated programs. By utilising our dedicated hardstand, we are able to fast-track the construction of these units.

From award, there is a six to eight week procurement period for long lead items such as skid bases, doors, and windows, followed by approximately 12 weeks of construction. This timeline is significantly faster than CBH’s previous delivery models, as we are able to commence works immediately. In addition to procurement and construction, we also undertake the design of each unit, workshopping directly with CBH to meet their specific operational needs.

Through our experience, we have developed a skid base extension that allows for the construction and commissioning of hot water units and mechanical systems prior to transport. This innovation reduces the need for on-site construction and minimises the risk of damage during transport, which is particularly important for remote and regional locations. It also provides confidence that all systems are fully functional before arriving on site.
